Mr. Lagnado was previously associated with Lustig & Brown for 2 1/2 years. He spent most of that time pursuing and protecting the interests of a pre-eminent excess and umbrella liability insurer and its insureds. He counseled claims representatives on liability exposure, monitored and guided litigation, negotiated settlements and defended insureds at trial. He also acted as lead defense counsel for the insureds of various primary liability insurers in various types of personal injury litigation.
Mr. Lagnado was a partner for five years at Bivona & Cohen, a law firm with which he was associated for almost thirteen years. During that time, he litigated a wide variety of personal injury claims on behalf of various insurers, third-party administrators and self-insureds.
Mr. Lagnado is a graduate of the National Law Center at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He received his Juris Doctor in 1988.
Mr. Lagnado received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Washington Square University College at New York University in New York City in 1985.
Mr. Lagnado loves travel, skiing and boxing. He is an avid (but long-suffering) fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Knicks and New York Rangers.
